The Louisiana Arborist Association (LAA ) is the non-profit state trade association whose purpose is to assist the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry in the advancement of its programs and policies aimed at improving the practice of aboriculture in Louisiana through training opportunities, continuing education, and public education.

To improve the credibility of those who provide tree care services in Louisiana.

To promote professionalism and profitability within the Louisiana arboriculture industry.

To establish and promote closer communications between fellow Louisiana arborists .

To stimulate greater public interest and education in the planting and are of shade and ornamental trees in Louisiana.

To study, recommend and encourage legislation which will prevent malpractice, help arborists to provide better service, and protect the public.
